Radio Schizophrenio

Client: Patrick Michalishyn, Host, Radio Schizophrenio on CKUW 95.9 FM

Patrick needed a site that would let him blog about music, post playlists, and link to his MP3s and audio streams of his show. Since he didn’t have a lot of tech knowledge, he wanted a simple system with a WYSIWYG editor. Thanks to a good CMS and a bit of discussion, we matched exactly what Patrick was going for.

Parkside Ford “Cutting the Mustard” Flash Ad Adobe Flash

Cam Cuts the Mustard Flash Ad

Client: Parkside Ford

“Cam Cuts the Mustard” was the slogan for Parkside Ford. When making a new size-dependent Flash advertisement for them, they needed something that would really encourage people to click through. With a clever use of ActionScript 2, users could “cut the mustard” to see the cars underneath – encouraging them to take action and get their mouse closer to a click.

Mattress Mattress TV Spot

Client: Picante Advertising

After developing their storyboard, Picante needed a graphic artist and animator who could produce a short non-verbal commercial with a lot of “wow” factor. By creating fun, engaging photomanipulated characters and settings, it really worked well with its target audience of younger married women. The ad aired on CBC Television in Saskatchewan and Alberta.

Megas Menu Design and Branding

Client: Zack Edrington

Mr. Edrington wanted to match his authentic Greek restaurant's menu to the restaurant's decor while providing an elegant feel that could appeal to both higher-income customers and out-for-a-good-time youth. To keep the "just a taste" atmosphere of a tapas bar, the dishes were presented with simple descriptions and pricing. The final product was printed with metallic inks to help emphasize the rich quality of the business.

Thrive Nutrition

Client: Thrive Nutrition

Thrive Nutrition focused on organic and natural health foods. They needed a vibrant, health-conscious design that would help them appeal to a demographic that cared about what they ate and what they put into the environment. Even if the client ended up going in a different direction, the cards were still considered a good success.

Client: CenCon, Inc.

With a lot of content that had to be written and a lot of advertisers to communicate with, the program guide for the 2008 Manitoba Comic Con required a lot of different skillsets. Copywriting, desktop publishing, editing, communication, and InDesign templating made the guide a huge success at keeping people informed at the convention. The program guide was distributed in the Winnipeg Free Press to 75,000 households around the city, and was handed out to 15,000 attendees.
